Thank you!

Keep it coming. We Hachés and Gallants hunger for such information.

Thank you so much Rick for the encouragement. Hunger is such the right word, heh? I wonder sometimes at the intensity of the want-to-know. Do you?

Yes. I do wonder about why we long for a better connection to our ancestors. And, I wonder how we might all work to fulfill that need.

It goes beyond genealogy and ancestry. I believe it includes knowledge and information about lifestyle and the everyday. What did they wear? What was the pace of life. How superstitious were they? What did a new wife do in her new home? What was life like in a one-room home with so many kids?

I’d love to see an intense effort to advance such questions. Maybe there needs to be a summit of all interested parties to pool our knowledge, clues, and hypotheses.

Now my curiosity is piqued. If it's not too personal, how do you fulfill that need?

This is wonderful, Ann! It is fun for me to listen to you talk (and argue) with your brother and and in doing so lead us to an adventure that helps us travel back in history. Nice! Thank you.
